Dual Reflective has a mirrored exterior that creates a one-way privacy effect during the day. Dark Neutral has no mirror effect — it simply tints the glass with a darker appearance. Both reject UV and solar heat strongly, but Dark Neutral looks the same from inside and outside, day and night.
It reduces visibility into your space due to its darker tint, but it is not a true privacy film. Unlike reflective film, it has no one-way mirror effect — so visibility depends on lighting conditions on both sides. For guaranteed 24/7 privacy, Matte Frost is the better choice.
DWY (Do it With You) means Film Bros pre-cuts every pane to your window measurements, labels each piece, and packages the order ready to apply. The surcharge is $3.00 per sqft of the roll. For most installs it is worth it — it removes the hardest step and significantly reduces waste and misalignment risk.
Measure your widest pane and choose the next roll width up. A 34" wide pane needs a 36" roll. A 55" wide pane needs a 60" roll. This avoids seams while minimizing waste. With the DWY upgrade, Film Bros handles all the trimming for you.
Yes. Dark Neutral is a non-reflective tint film, which means it has a lower risk of heat buildup in insulated glass units (IGUs) compared to reflective films. It is generally safe for double-pane windows, but always confirm with your window manufacturer before applying.
DFY (Done For You) is recommended when your project is 250+ adjusted sqft, involves tall or hard-to-reach glass, has many panes or irregular shapes, or you want a professionally installed, warranty-backed result. DFY pricing is not shown publicly — contact us for a quote.
