Why Clear 8 Mil Security Film
Serious glass protection.Still completely clear. Clear 8 Mil is twice the thickness of the 4 Mil Safety Film — designed for customers who need more than accidental breakage protection. It delays forced entry, resists smash-and-grab attacks, and keeps glass intact under sustained impact.
01Smash-and-Grab Resistance8 Mil thickness significantly increases the time and effort required to breach a window. Opportunistic smash-and-grab attempts are much less likely to succeed when the glass stays bonded to the film after impact.
02Break-In DelayEven under repeated blows, the film holds the broken glass together, creating a barrier that dramatically slows forced entry. Extra seconds matter — for alarm response, deterrence, and escape time.
03Nearly InvisibleAt 89% VLT, the film is essentially transparent. There is no tint, no haze, and no visible change to the glass. Security is added without any aesthetic compromise.
